Silk Shoes

Dress - ASOS | Duster Coat - ASOS | *Heels - Rainbow Club | Clutch - Topshop

On Wednesday, my boyfriend and I went down to London as he was receiving his Gold Duke of Edinburgh award (proud girlfriend much?) This was being held at St. James Palace, and thus I had to get on my gladrags which became the perfect oppurtunity to finally wear my amazing silk heels kindly sent to me by Rainbow Club.

I was offered a range of shoes, and decided upon the Georgie Girl, a perfect mix of a pointed toe and jazzy embroidery. Rainbow Club are more exclusively for weddings, but they will also dye shoes to suit other occasions so I picked navy as I don't own any navy shoes! They are truly the most beautiful shoes I have ever owned and apart from the pain of lots of walking around London, they were pretty damn comfy! So thank you Rainbow Club, I will certainly be back for my own wedding shoes someday!

Regarding the rest of my outfit, I wore a tie waist white shift dress from ASOS Petite, a dress I have wanted for a long time and was so happy to finally get to wear. As it's only March, I threw on my classic grey ASOS duster coat on top and finished the look off with my seatbelt clutch bag from Topshop.

Hopefully I looked the part in the Palace, I had the most amazing day regardless!

If you fancy some wedding shoes or just classic heels for any other situation, please check out Rainbow Club.

Bombing Along

Bomber Jacket - Topshop | Cami - H&M | Culottes - Vintage | Boots - Debenhams | Bag - Primark

So today, I ventured out of little old Wigan and went shopping with my sister in Manchester. She leaves for university this weekend so I thought now was the perfect time to get some last minute quality time in. As per usual, September has brought beautifully warm weather to us so I'm embracing it and getting the last use out of my culottes, which I'll be sad to put away once the bad weather kicks in. I wanted to leave the majority of my outfit minimal as I think my groovy bomber jacket does all the talking in this look. A steal of a find in the Topshop Christmas sale, I think it was meant to be £75! I love the combo of tough leather with girly floral print, it's so me it hurts!

And last, but defiently not least, I introduce you blog to... my new boots. I'm always on the hunt for some shoe or item of clothing and this summer, my new winter boot was on my mind 24/7. This is the boot to carry me through Autumn/Winter and I'm so glad I choose these beauties, with their heel, suede effect and nipped in effect. And here's a secret, they look black, but they're really navy! Surprise!

I've been playing around with my image editing tonight, hope you guys like the new format!

Reaching Higher Heights

As you may know by now, I'm only a little student (5"2 to be exact) and regularly depend on platform shoes to help bring me up to everyone else's height (being called shortie soon becomes boring). But there's only so much a platform slip on can do before you call in the help of heels.

I don't do normal heels, they're too girly and altogether too uncomfortable so I decided to give heeled boots/platforms a go. The shoe boots were a bargain find on ASOS, now only £10! A perfect piece to bring a bit of texture into a monochrome look, and smarten up a pair of jeans too. The added appeal of a pointed tip and I was won over.

My other latest addition to my heeled footwear collection is the platform heels. I love a pair of all white shoes and these are the smarter version of the Van Slip On's I adore. Sadly, the only downfall of these shoes is due to their all white nature, they pick up dirt like no ones business, as shown in these photos.

I'm currently away on holiday but will reply to all comments on my return.

Going Out Out

Vest Top - ASOS | Skirt - Zara | Heels - ASOS | Clutch - Primark

This outfit was something I wore a few weeks ago when I went with some friends. I struggle to dress for going out as I find my style very manly/oversized/not glitzy enough for the clubbing scene in my home town. Rather then wear something I'm not comfortable in, I settled on this vest and skirt combo, with the addition of leather adding a level of dressiness but still being myself with the neutral colour palette.

As a 5"2 girl, I rarely wear heels as everyone already knows I'm teeny tiny but I'm trying to branch out and so invested in these shoe boots from ASOS. I know they'll look just as perfect with a bashed up pair of jeans as they do with a skirt and I can't wear to make them a main part of wardrobe.

I'm currently away on holiday but will reply to all comments on my return.
