Culottes X Nike

Sweatshirt - H&M | Culottes - ASOS | Trainers - Nike

Culottes were one of the big trends this summer and lucky they're still going strong now and featured in many catwalks at London Fashion Week! Hurray for culottes! Great for those when I'm bored of living in skinny jeans, and boy do I live in my skinny jeans and also great at hiding food babies/days you didn't go to the gym/want to pretend you're still in your massive PJ's. What more could a girl want.

These bad boys are from ASOS (obviously, it's me) which I got for a steal in the summer sale. Teamed with a slogan sweatshirt and my Nikes, this is a perfect chilled outfit which is both comfy but also looks like I made an effort. I love the combo of grey and navy, they work really well together and the added jazziness of the sequins adds a bit of glitz to a quite muted outfit.

Will you be wearing your culottes way into winter?

It's also my birthday tomorrow, feel free to send me ASOS vouchers in the mail guys xxx

The Tin Man

Grey Long Sleeved Tee - Noisy May @ ASOS | Silver Trousers - H&M | Platforms - ASOS

So I have white hair guys! I finally gave in and purchased the Bleach London Bleach Kit and White Toner and oh my life that stuff is a dream. Totally made my hair the whitest its ever been and it doesn't even feel that bad, hallelujah! I'm so in love with my hair now, white hair is all I've wanted for so long, I sit on Instagram daily lusting over white haired babes and now, hopefully I am one now!

So to match my white/silvery locks, I pulled on my favourite all grey ensemble to compliment my hair, those trousers are so comfy yet so snazzy, defiantly fancy pants! I then topped off the whole look with my new platforms from ASOS, which I'm hoping are good lookalikes for the Stella McCarthney leather versions, which I will lust over and will sadly never own sigh. But these £13 babies will satisfy me for now.

How beautiful is this backdrop for this look, I think blue compliments grey and white perfectly so I spied the chance to use it today.

What do you think of my hair change guys, like or loathe?

Mini ASOS/Topshop Haul

Platformed Mules - Topshop

So I realised that I haven't done a haul in forever which is strange as I'm constantly buying even though I'm meant to be a poor poor student, thank Mary and Joseph for my job to keep my ASOS addiction going.

Here's a few pieces I picked up in the last week, as winter has well and truly hit us up in the North, I stocked up on some warm jumpers for those days where I have 9am classes and really can't handle putting thought into my outfits. The grey one was a random find on ASOS, made of bonded fabric for the body then a light cotton for the sleeves, giving the whole piece a really interesting and warm look! The other jumper is a classic roll neck in camel, as I love camel too much right now. My favourite pairing is camel on camel which I think looks so classic and simple.

With the mid-season sales hitting the stores, I couldn't resist purchasing two new pairs of platforms. Platforms are my favourite type of shoe, being only a tiny 5"2 girl. The weaved pair from ASOS are very similar to the Stella McCartney leather versions very popular this season. I wore these on Friday and wow, those platforms are heavy. But I adore them. The other pair are from Topshop, but this time they are muled loafers. I love mules, they don't hurt my feet and they look so different to any other shoe. I don't own any silver shoes, so its a nice change to my monochrome wardrobe.

Lastly, I stocked up on loads of new gold rings, that I can wear in so many different combinations. My favourite of the bunch being, the double pearl ring as its very easy to wear.

What do you think of my buys?

Muling Around

Duster Coat - ASOS | Drop Waist Dress - ASOS | Mules - Faith

What fresh hell is this, Elena wearing a dress? I don't know what has happened to our normal October weather but I'm loving steering clear of the tights for a couple days longer. As you know, I don't like dresses particularly but this one caught me as its so sporty and casual, it's basically like wearing a massive t-shirt but looks better. Dresses always tend to make me look shorter than I already am, so I teamed it with my new favourite shoe of the year, my mules. How I've never owned mules before, I do not know. And of course, because it is actual still October and not that warm although I'm pretending it is, I threw on top my trusty duster coat to keep me warm when my legs turn purple.

New Starts

Kimono Tee - ASOS | Grey Marl Skirt - H&M | Boots - Debenhams | Bag - Primark | Sunglasses - Primark

So I'm back at university & have collected a wide range of photographers to help me with my posts. I live really close to the most amazing park, & it has the most amazing locations for outfit posts so expect many a scenic view from now on! My flatmate Lizzie took these, & I think they're pretty good for her first shot!

As per normal in freshers week, the weather has gone a bit off the wall, meaning it's lovely & warm even though today is the first of October. I love colour blocking at the moment, and especially with different tones of grey so this is the warm version of the outfit, when the temperatures drops I'll add my duster coat & I'll be good to go!

Shopping like a Rich Person

H&M - Grey Marl Trend Collection Jumper | Sweatshirt Skirt

Topshop - Strap Clutch

I love fashion right now. Everything is amazing, I'm so into the normcore trend and I feel so revitalised blogging wise, with so many outfit ideas that I'm actually proud of. So basically that's my excuse for all these things I bought this week.

After my holiday, I felt like I was missing a limb because I hadn't been checking ASOS obsessively 24/7. Probably a good thing, but as soon as humanly possible I made a little order. I'd had my eye on these white leather trousers for a long time, a very bold piece, that will take careful styling or I might look a teeny tiny bit stupid. But I love them with all my heart, I think they'll look just right with a plain tee and pointy shoes. Which is why I just had to buy this v neck tee, as I love the colour and I don't actually own any v neck cut tee's! I don't wear a lot of dresses so I'm trying to branch out with this drop waist navy dress, I love the preppy feel the Z gives it and I think it'll love awesome with a duster coat and my all white trainers.

Next, to my second favourite store in the whole wide world, H&M. H&M recently launched their Trend A/W Collection and it's out of this world. Amazingly classic pieces, with a funky twist, I still have my eye on the shaggy coat. A wonderful mix of silk, wool, beads and chiffon, 10 out of 10 to H&M. After ogling the collection in the Manchester, I bit the bullet and ran head first to the changing rooms with this marled sweatshirt. With its multiple zips and baggy shape, it's a dream and perfect for this season. Possibly one of my favourite buys from H&M ever. Whilst I was crying over the jumper, I spied a very similar mini skirt, in similar material, with a jazzy flared out effect on the trim. Tried on with the jumper and I was over. I think I like grey right now.

Lastly, I've been hunting for yet another clutch as all I do is my clutches and this Topshop babe won my heart. Another interesting design, with its seatbeat fastening and silk material, its just the right level of classy for Elena.

What do you guys think of my ill gotten gains?

Lacy Basics

Sunglasses - Primark | Crop Top - Topshop | Culottes - ASOS | Bag - Primark | Sliders - Primark

I know I have previously worn these culottes on the blog but I'm so head over heels in love with them I couldn't resist styling them up again. This time I paired them with a long sleeved crop from Topshop (a must for A/W 2014) to not distract from the embroidery detail in the culottes. I then threw on my sliders and favourite Primark buys of the moment, sunglasses and camera bag.

I'm considering doing a series of posts on how to style up these culottes, let me know if that's something you guys would be interested in :-)

I'm currently away on holiday but will reply to all comments on my return.
