Mini ASOS/Topshop Haul

Platformed Mules - Topshop

So I realised that I haven't done a haul in forever which is strange as I'm constantly buying even though I'm meant to be a poor poor student, thank Mary and Joseph for my job to keep my ASOS addiction going.

Here's a few pieces I picked up in the last week, as winter has well and truly hit us up in the North, I stocked up on some warm jumpers for those days where I have 9am classes and really can't handle putting thought into my outfits. The grey one was a random find on ASOS, made of bonded fabric for the body then a light cotton for the sleeves, giving the whole piece a really interesting and warm look! The other jumper is a classic roll neck in camel, as I love camel too much right now. My favourite pairing is camel on camel which I think looks so classic and simple.

With the mid-season sales hitting the stores, I couldn't resist purchasing two new pairs of platforms. Platforms are my favourite type of shoe, being only a tiny 5"2 girl. The weaved pair from ASOS are very similar to the Stella McCartney leather versions very popular this season. I wore these on Friday and wow, those platforms are heavy. But I adore them. The other pair are from Topshop, but this time they are muled loafers. I love mules, they don't hurt my feet and they look so different to any other shoe. I don't own any silver shoes, so its a nice change to my monochrome wardrobe.

Lastly, I stocked up on loads of new gold rings, that I can wear in so many different combinations. My favourite of the bunch being, the double pearl ring as its very easy to wear.

What do you think of my buys?

Shoes are a Girls Best Friend

Mule Loafers - Topshop | Leather Pointed Boots - ASOS | Black Boots - ASOS

So you must know by now that I really like shoes. Shiny, patent, boots, trainers, loafers. Basically I have a massive shoe addiction, which became really apparent when I had to choose which ones to take to uni! Not that stops me from making a shoe wishlist...

I mostly buy my shoes from ASOS (surprise) and Topshop and their footwear are on form this Autumn/Winter. I love any mule type shoe and these silver mule loafers are like my dream shoe combo, and what could be better than a shoe that doesn't rub your ankle?! As Winter is kicking in, I obviously need another pair of boots... These two are my top picks, pointed shoes are the best and so so flattering to any outfit, they elongate legs and everything. I love leather but there's something about the ponte material with the snakeskin tips that makes me really happy. Trainers are still super in and fit so well with the 90's normcore trend and these Gola ones are very similar to the Adidas Stan Smith's, but for only £20! Lastly, these Topshop flatforms are SO similar to the Stella MacCartney flatforms, but for a bargain £35, how can I refuse?!

What shoes are you feeling this A/W?

Double Denim Problems

Denim Shirt - Zara | Jeans - ASOS | Loafers - ASOS

Well today is typical lancaster day, i.e. It rains all day. Kind of starting to realise running a blog while at university is bloody hard, but the next sunny day I get I will be out and about shooting outfit photos for you guys. But I do have my trusty tripod, and this is something I wore about a week ago. Double and even triple denim is seriously hot right now and I am loving embracing this fashion faux par as some people view it. I'm currently eying up a denim jacket to add another denim element to this look, because you might aswell go all out! Light blue works really well with blonde hair I think, so I'm so into washed out denim as my hair gets gradually lighter day by day.

I decided to pair the denim with these loafers, because they add a smarter element to the look, and a bit of a contrast to all the soft denim.

What do you guys think of double/triple denim?

My own personal wind machine

Leather Jacket - H&M | Shaggy Scarf - Miss Selfridge | Shirt - H&M | White Jeans (ripped myself) - H&M | Loafers - New Look | Sunglasses - Primark | Bag - Primark
(All Old)

So today I found out that taking outfit photographs on a really windy day is not the best idea in the world. So do excuse my weave in these photographs, we tried out best to control it.

This week I decided to bite the bullet and finally wear my white jeans outside of the house. Now I've always stayed far away from colourful/patterned jeans due to my cyclist thighs but I couldn't stay away any longer. I love a neutral colour scheme and this outfit ticks that box fully. As summer has decided it's bored of the North West, I added my favourite shaggy scarf to keep me from freezing and to add some darker tones into this relatively light ensemble and topped it all off with my life long best buddy, my fake leather jacket from H&M.

I might be a bit off the grid over the next week as I have 2nd year resits (don't fail your exams kids) but I'm hoping to fit some outfit posts in around those exams (top student) PRAY FOR ME GUYS!

We be haulin' haulin' haulin' haulin'

Sadly none of these shoes are available online.

I have always admired Zara from a far but never really paid it much attention due to being scared of the prices. And then I discovered this season's sale online... I fell in love with the pointed white loafers but cruelly they were out of stock in my size online and in my local store. But yet again the shopping gods paid me a favour and grated me a pair of size 5's in the Glasgow branch of Zara.

I've got a bad obsession with boots at the moment (very useful in the midst of summer) so when I found these beige leather cut out boots also in Glasgow I couldn't leave them behind. With their slight pointed toe, they add a much needed dash of colour into my very monochrome wardrobe.

Lastly, I'm still very much into my trainer 'thang' and as I can't justify another pair of Nike Roshe Run in all white, these Zara equivalents will have to fill the hole in my heart.

What shoes have been stealing your hearts recently? And has anyone else been very naughty during this seasons sales, please make me feel better! I've been very spendy at ASOS and H&M so let me know if you'd like a haul post about either of those stores :-)
