Lavish Alice

Cape Blazer - Lavish Alice | Tee - ASOS | Petite Jeans - ASOS | Pointed Flats - ASOS | Sunglasses - H&M

It's finally the weekend and that means I'm jetting off to Venice tomorrow hurrah! Muchos excited, my suitcase is packed to burst hopefully the weather forecast we've been reading is wrong as it looks like we've got a few days stormy weather there if so!

This cape blazer from Lavish Alice is one of my favourite buys of all time, but is very tricky to wear in the right way. Simple looks work best with such an out there piece so I threw on a plain tee and jeans, with some jazzy pointed flats in metallic to break up all the monochrome.

I will be scheduling a few posts while I am away, so you'll be seeing those in the coming week :)

Vibey

Top - ASOS | Skirt - MinkPink | Knee High Boots - JustFab | Hat - ASOS

So today was the day I submitted my dissertation, a 4000 word essay and a piece of coding coursework, all in readiness for finishing university. And boy am I glad it's coming to an end. People who say university and 3rd year is easy, do not study a Computer Science degree! But now I can finally get back into normality for a little while before I start revising for my last ever exams...

Anyway, this outfit is absolutely perfect to post on a day like today, it's been so beautiful! I am loving the whole 70's vibe at the moment, you might have noticed... So I couldn't wait to team up suede, floaty shirts and a fedora together. All topped off with a pair of knee highs and I was feeling quite whimsical. Might need to start applying some more fake tan before I expose my legs again... #palegirlproblems

At the Bath House

Wide Leg Trousers - H&M | Jumper - Oh My Love by Topshop | Pumas - Schuh

The wide leg trouser trend is one I've wanted to dip my toe into for a while, but always felt they overpowered my tiny frame and made it look like I'd escaped from the circus... After trying various pieces with these black satin pair, I decided the best way to broach the trend was to stick to what I know best, monochrome by using black and white to set the trousers off. The trainers make the whole outfit look like a bit more chilled, but it could be easily paired with a pair of barely there heels for an evening look, I might need to get them shortened though...

In other news, for those who don't follow my Twitter page, this week I announced my new radio show which will be started next Saturday at 7pm on W!ZARD Radio, presenting a girls sleepover type show focusing on fashion, beauty and gossip. This came about due to my blog work so I can only thank the people who read my posts for supporting me, and hopefully a few of you might tune in, there's opportunity to win amazing prizes too! I am amazingly grateful for what this blog has brought me and the happiness it gives me.

My Current Top Reads - September

Frankie is one of ASOS's new personal stylists and my, am I glad to have found her! Such amazing quirky style, that girl knows how to clash prints and textures, and still look 10/10 while doing it. Alongside that hair, she's a wonder and half and constantly inspiring me to add a bit of colour into my monochrome wardrobe.

Hannah Crosskey is another one of my new finds, she aced it at London Fashion Week, knowing just how to mix smart with casual. Her posts always make me want to spend a bit more money online, I've actually just invested in some mules because of her blogging.

Isabella is another one of ASOS's personal stylists, and my new all time favourite inspiration style wise. She gets me in a way no other blogger has, her love for oversized clothes and black and white describes me no end and if I'm ever feeling uninspired I know I can go to her Instagram and straight away know what to wear. If someone could dress me everyday, it would be Isabella.

Lastly, Lizzy from SHOT FROM THE STREET is probably the newest blogger I've found and boy am I glad. Another babe who can work monochrome like no other and knows exactly how to rock an all black ensemble. She also has a top range of shoes, so much shoe envy.

Who's rocking your world blog wise?

Clashy McClash

Black Tee - M&S | Midi Skirt - Topshop | Clutch - ASOS | Trainers - H&M

Just a quick one today, I wore this outfit to Liverpool on Sunday when I went watching the Tour of Britain (cycling) and even though it was something I quickly threw on as I was in a rush, I've fallen for it. I love the mixture of the manly, oversized tee with the figure hugging skirt. I'm really into clashing prints at the moment and love the mix of the monochrome floral with the classic leopard print on my shoes. A new favourite look, I love mixing smart pieces with casual.

White Shirt 101

Sunglasses - ASOS | White Shirt - H&M | Shorts - New Look | Slip On's - ASOS | Bag - Zara

Another outfit showing off the benefits of owning a white shirt. I love the classic look of wearing all white so decided to give it a stab by teaming these white shorts with my shirt. All white isn't something I usually go for, being so pale and blonde but I think by teaming it with black accessories I've managed to pull it off. Using my dream Zara bag again, and my favourite comfy shoes, I think this outfit is perfect for going into the city for lunch or on holiday during the day when keeping cool is the ultimate aim. And as the weather starts to get colder, this look can easily be brought into Autumn by adding a duster coat or leather jacket.

I'm currently away on holiday but will reply to all comments on my return.

Love Me Hate Me

Fedora - New Look | White Shirt - H&M | Blazer - H&M | Jeans - ASOS | Clutch - Zara | Trainers - JD Sports

I basically live in white shirts nowadays so I thought I'd start doing a series of pieces on how I like to style them up, for casual and smart.

This look is one that would work during the day, perhaps to go shopping with friends or for travelling but could be easily changed up and made more appropriate for evening attire with a pair of barely there heels and a bit of lipstick.

I recently bought this blazer during H&M's 25% promotion (check it out online and in store if you haven't yet!) as I've never owned a really smart jacket that would work with most things and can easily make a pair of scruffy jeans look grown up!

I toned down the smartness of this look with the addition of the Nike's and then added a dash of colour with this bright clutch from Zara, as I do love a good slogan!

I'm currently away on holiday but will reply to all comments on my return.

Zara A/W Wishlist

So hey guys, I'm back after my brief hiatus due to university obligations and I thought I'd kick it off again with a lovely wistful wishlist post for Zara.

Me and Zara, our friendship has been brief but beautiful and now they've started stocking their A/W stock, I'm very happy indeed. My current basket equals £144 and if I wasn't going away this Friday, I probably would have already ordered the lot. But we both know I will end up ordering something so I will keep you informed!

My top picks from Zara at the moment are:

- Drawstring Trousers, I recently realised that I don't own any grey trousers and this has greatly upset me and I feel it needs to be altered ASAP. This pair as just enough casual to get away with at university but I could easily dress up with a pair of heels.
- Blue Slogan Tee, Zara do tee's so well, I can't resist stocking up in some classic slogan ones.
- Doctor's Bag, I actually study Computer Science at University and am thus needed to bring my laptop onto campus most days and I feel this bag would be able to carry all my crap plus laptop so basically it's a uni essential?! Right...
- Lace Top, can't really bet a black lace top, perfect to dress up a pair of jeans if you need a quick evening outfit.
- Midi Dress, I've only recently braved the midi due to my short legs and now can't resist anything of the midi length, especially if it has a slogan printed across it.
 - Leather Tote, this is my other chosen university bag, cheaper but doesn't seem as sturdy as the Doctor's bag, but would add a dash of colour into my universally black wardrobe.
- Black Slogan Tee, another slogan tee to boot, of course there had to be a black tee in this wishlist.
- Lace Embroidered Maxi Dress, I have lusted over this dress for months and months and although it would have been perfect for summer, I totally think it would be workable in the Autumn months with leather jacket or even duster coat.

Wishlist's always end up in me convincing myself I need all these items and with a shopping trip to Manchester coming my way on Tuesday, I may return with a few of these pieces, to be continued...

My own personal wind machine

Leather Jacket - H&M | Shaggy Scarf - Miss Selfridge | Shirt - H&M | White Jeans (ripped myself) - H&M | Loafers - New Look | Sunglasses - Primark | Bag - Primark
(All Old)

So today I found out that taking outfit photographs on a really windy day is not the best idea in the world. So do excuse my weave in these photographs, we tried out best to control it.

This week I decided to bite the bullet and finally wear my white jeans outside of the house. Now I've always stayed far away from colourful/patterned jeans due to my cyclist thighs but I couldn't stay away any longer. I love a neutral colour scheme and this outfit ticks that box fully. As summer has decided it's bored of the North West, I added my favourite shaggy scarf to keep me from freezing and to add some darker tones into this relatively light ensemble and topped it all off with my life long best buddy, my fake leather jacket from H&M.

I might be a bit off the grid over the next week as I have 2nd year resits (don't fail your exams kids) but I'm hoping to fit some outfit posts in around those exams (top student) PRAY FOR ME GUYS!
